So I'm killing time at work this morning and I come across this. It's only an hour and a half away. It's absolutely stunning. Look at that interior!! And the price seems like a steal.
I forwarded the link to the wife and she said "let's go get it", but I don't think it will fit in my garage; I think it's to long! I will be measuring when I get home and if it will I'm in trouble.

If it won't fit in the garage, just get a car cover and keep it outside.

I couldn't do that. The car's to beautiful, it's obviously been cared it's whole life and it should continue to be cared for.

Yeah, but it's a bit of a myth that you have to keep a car in a garage to take care of it. Although it depends where to an extent, with an awning, a cover, and the kind of good rust-proofing you should have anyway, it really makes very little difference.

Even the best fitting cover is going to have some slop. Wind blows, the slop in the cover will buffet and damage the paint. If it's uncovered the paint, chrome and vinyl roof will get sun damaged over time.
There is no way I would buy a car like this and leave it sitting outside.

"Wind blows, the slop in the cover will buffet and damage the paint."
Why would it do that? Are we thinking of the same kind of thing? I meant a big, heavyweight multi-layer car cover, which is too heavy to blow about much, padded, and lined on the inside with what's basically polishing cloths.

Is the car going to be perfectly clean every time the cover is put on? If your car wasn't freshly washed and waxed would you polish it? I wouldn't because whatever contaminants are on the car will now be ground into the paint.

You'd keep it in a garage, but put it away unwashed? It takes a couple of minutes to give it a quick once-over to get any minor road-dirt off if it's not really dirty, and if it is, you ought to clean it before putting it away.
It's not quite as convenient as a garage, bit more work each time you get it out and put it away, but nothing too bad.

No i wouldn't wash it after each time I drove it. I wash my bike once, maybe twice a year. Wouldn't think of letting it sit outside under a cover though.

Lurid colour scheme aside, much want is being experienced here.

I think I like it even more because of the color scheme! Normally I think Cadillacs of this era look best in conservative colors; white, black, silver. But this... for some reason this is giving me a serious chubby.
